Powerful 8kW Harvia Heater

Made in Finland, the Harvia KIP 8kW heater is powerful and simple to use. Easy to operate dials makes it simple to adjust the sauna to your preferred settings. One dial sets the temperature while the other turns the heater on/off with a built in delay timer that can be activated up to 8 hours in advance so your sauna is ready when you are. A standard automatic shut-off feature activates after 60 minutes of operation for an added layer of safety and convenience. A spacious stone cavity ensures optimal heat release, designed to have water poured over the rocks to make a cleansing steamy environment in the sauna.

Order Cancellations
You can cancel your order within 7 days for a full refund. If you cancel after 7 days, a 3.5% fee will be taken from your refund.

If you purchased items as part of a bundle and later cancel or return one item, the discount will no longer apply. Your refund will be adjusted based on the regular price of the items you keep.

Shipping and Delivery
Please double-check your shipping address before placing your order. Once your order has shipped, we may not be able to change the address. If your order needs to be re-shipped or re-routed due to an incorrect address, you will be responsible for any extra shipping costs.

Delivery Method
Most items are delivered by freight and will arrive curbside. This means your order will be delivered to the end of your driveway or curb. The delivery driver will not bring the item into your home, backyard, or garage.

If your location cannot be reached by a standard freight truck, other delivery options may be required. This may include using a smaller truck or picking up your order from a nearby freight terminal. Any extra fees, including storage or re-delivery, will be your responsibility.

Delivery Inspection
You must check your order as soon as it arrives before signing for it.

If items are missing, write this on the delivery paperwork and contact the shipping company right away. If they cannot find the missing items, contact customer support.

If your item is damaged, write the damage on the delivery paperwork before signing. You must email customer support within 7 days and include photos and details. In some cases, replacement parts may be provided.

Returns
Returns may be accepted within 30 days of delivery, depending on the situation. Returns requested after 30 days will not be accepted.

All returns must be approved before sending anything back. Items sent back without approval will not be accepted.

Items must be taken apart, packed safely, and returned in the original wooden crate.

You may be asked to provide photos or return the item before a refund is issued.

Refunds
If your return is approved, you may receive a full or partial refund. Shipping, handling, and return freight costs may be taken out of your refund.

Items that do not meet these requirements may not be eligible for a refund.

Refused Deliveries
If you refuse delivery, you may be responsible for additional shipping, re-routing, and restocking fees. 

Warranty Information
All products include a limited warranty that covers defects in materials or workmanship.

Sauna Warranty
Wooden saunas are covered for 1 year from the date of delivery.

Heater Warranty
Heating elements are covered for 1 year
Other heater parts are covered for up to 5 years

Freight Deliveries
Large items ship by freight and require a delivery appointment. The carrier will usually call ahead, but sometimes they may call while already on the way.

If you miss your delivery and do not make arrangements, re-delivery or storage fees may apply.

Curbside Delivery
All large items are delivered to the end of your driveway or curbside. Carriers will not bring items inside, move them to your backyard, or help with setup.

Unloading
You are responsible for unloading and moving the product after delivery. Please plan ahead, as items can be large and heavy.

Delivery Acceptance
Any adult at your delivery address can accept the delivery.

• Redwood Outdoors saunas ship via third-party freight carriers and are typically delivered by curbside delivery, meaning the crate will be dropped off at the end of your driveway or at the curb near your home.
• Once your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking information, and the freight carrier will usually contact you to schedule a delivery appointment.  Delivery time frames are estimates and may be delayed due to weather, carrier scheduling, or other factors outside of Redwood Outdoors’ control.
• It is the customer’s responsibility to be available (or have someone available) to accept delivery, as missed deliveries may result in re-delivery or storage fees.
• At the time of delivery, you must inspect the crate for damage or missing items and note any issues on the delivery paperwork, then report any damage to Redwood Outdoors within 7 days of receipt.

Exterior Treatment
Applying a treatment to the exterior of your sauna is optional but recommended to help maintain its natural color and provide protection from weather exposure. If left untreated, the wood will remain structurally sound but will gradually weather to a silver-gray finish over time.

To preserve the original appearance, apply a water-based stain and sealant to the exterior only, reapplying every 5–7 years as needed.

• Do not use standard stains or sealants inside the sauna. Only sauna-safe, high-heat products should be used for interior surfaces.

Interior Cleaning
Clean the interior every 3–4 months using Harvia Sauna Cleanser or another wood-safe cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly and operate the heater for 1–2 hours to ensure the interior dries completely.

After each use, run the heater for approximately 60 minutes with the door closed to help prevent mold growth. If the sauna is used infrequently, place desiccants inside and consider using a fan or dehumidifier to maintain airflow.

Clean stainless steel heater components with Harvia Sauna Heater Cleanser. Re-stack sauna stones every 6 months and replace them every 12–18 months.

Exterior Cleaning
Clean the exterior as needed using mild soap, water, and a soft brush or cloth. Rinse using low-pressure water only.

Interior Wood Protection
For added protection, apply Supi Sauna Wax (clear or tinted) to interior surfaces every 2–3 years. For benches and floors, use sauna-grade paraffin oil once or twice per year.

• Do not apply Supi Sauna Wax and paraffin oil to the same surfaces.

Heater Rock Maintenance (KIP Heaters)
Every 6 months, turn off the heater at the breaker. Remove and re-stack the rocks so that the heating coils remain upright and do not touch the stones. Replace the rocks every 12–18 months to help prevent potential coil damage.

Mold Prevention & Treatment
After each session, run the heater for 60 minutes with the door closed to fully dry the interior wood. For less frequent use, use desiccants or a dehumidifier and ensure proper air circulation.

Avoid eating or drinking inside the sauna.

If mold develops, spray the affected area with white vinegar, scrub with mild soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry by running the heater for 1–2 hours. For more severe cases, a stronger cleaner such as 30 Seconds Outdoor Cleaner may be used. Always wear gloves, goggles, and a mask, and discard cleaning tools after use.
